Membership of The Rambling Man walking group is free.  A personal information form must be completed to join. This only has to be completed once in order to book on any of our events.

Walks are published monthly and booking is on a first come, first served basis.

 

All walks must be paid for in advance of the walk.

 

Once you have booked and payment is received you will receive confirmation of your booking and joining instructions for your walk

including a recommended kit list.

 

Distances and terrain will vary for each walk. Timings are estimates and there will be regular stops and a lunch break. Group walks can overrun.

 

Well behaved dogs are welcome (where restrictions by land owners aren’t in place). They must be on a lead at all times no matter the level of training and obedience. The owner is responsible for clearing up after their dog and any incident involving the dog. Your dog must be fit enough for the walks you undertake.

 

Whilst walking is a relatively safe activity, there could be occasions where participants could encounter hazards. By participating in walking events clients accept that there is a degree of risk to themselves.

 

Walking activities take place in varied natural environments where there are hazards and risks to manage. Every effort will be made by The Rambling Man (TRM) to minimise these risks. 

 

Clients participating in all events are expected to comply with any safety guidance and instructions issued by TRM.

 

Your personal data will be collected as part of our responsibility to you and stored securely and password protected online. This data will only be shared with third parties when there is an immediate requirement to do so (for example with the emergency services.)

 

We may use photos or videos from our events for commercial or marketing purposes – if you do not wish your image to be used then please inform TRM as soon as possible. 

 

The Rambling Man carries full Public Liability Insurance covered through XXX. We advise that participants check their own insurance with regard to personal liabilities and make their own arrangements

 

Responsibility for injury can only be accepted if negligence can be proven. No responsibility can be accepted for personal items

Cancellation policy

 

Refunds or credits are provided if notice is given no less than 48hrs prior to the walk start time. Refunds are less any transaction fees. Credits can be transferred to future walks and used within 3 months.

Bookings are transferable to another person, however the new attendee must complete a personal information form and submit before the walk.

 

Transferred bookings are non-refundable.

 

All efforts will be made to run advertised events. Final decisions will be made by The Rambling Man (TRM) up to and including the day of the event. Full refunds or credits will be given should TRM cancel for any reason.

 

Our aim is for our walks to take place in all types of weather conditions. TRM will make a final decision if conditions prevent the original walk taking place e.g. changing the route. If severe weather conditions force TRM to cancel any walk, a full refunds or credits will be given.
